Bio

Greetings! My name is Joe B and I’m a 23 year old writer from Cleveland, OH currently living in Chicago, IL.

I’ve always been a writing fanatic, but started writing for publishing purposes during my sophomore year of college at Miami University when I was a contributor for Amusement, a weekly humor publication. I then became interested in script writing and began writing short-films and comedic viral videos, which I continued throughout the rest of my college years.

Upon graduating from Miami University (with some sort of honors), I relocated to Chicago in order to take classes at the iO theater and meet some funny folks. It’s my intention, however, to move back to Cleveland sooner rather than later in hopes of taking what I’ve learned to help the city become a comedic force to be reckoned with! (Beyond the obvious and trite Mistake On The Lake punchline, of course).

So in the meantime, I’ll be in Chicago writing and creating sketch videos with Throw!Kick!Punch! and finishing up my book with the creative tentative title of Mildly Relevant Thoughts. The book is filled with stories throughout my life where I find humor in the seemingly mundane. (If you’re a lit agent reading this, best get to signing me).
