I decided not five seconds ago, as I opened this site to post a link to today’s ChicagoNow article, that I would no longer link to my own writing on another site, unless for some reason I feel like breaking this rule. Alright, my mildly relevant comrades, here’s an update for you! In case you couldn’t tell, I’ve been going back and forth between posting Mildly Relevant News here and at my ChicagoNow blog. Videos don’t seem to get as many “page views” as posts, because you don’t actually have to click on the link to watch the video. So with that in mind, I’ve decided to henceforth post all Mildly Relevant News videos here, and humor posts over at the ChicagoNow blog. Obviously I want you all of my work to be easily accessible, so I will continue to post links on here to any posts I make on other sites and put them into the “links” category. Check out the “published” tab on the homepage for any and all guest posts/published work.

Mildly Relevant News will be Monday-Thursday, unless otherwise noted, and there will be a humor post daily over at ChicagoNow. Of course things will come up, so I’ll try my best to notify you fine folks if I’m unable to do an episode or post for a day.

That’s it! That’s all! Keep tuning in to Mildly Relevant News, and subscribe/rate videos if you’re on YouTube, so I can one day be a “YouTube Partner” and actually make money off the show. But you’ll also have to keep reading posts at ChicagoNow, so I can get paid for that, too!

All of you die-hard Mildly Relevant Thoughts readers (or folks who got here by Googling “Christmas Drinking Games”) have probably been wondering where the Hell I have been. Heck, it’s been like a week since I wrote anything original. Well I’ll tell you where I’ve been.

Beautiful Northeast Ohio!

Thus far I’ve caught up with a few friends, a Browns game, family and have even helped with my dad’s JV girl’s basketball team. I’ll probably write about the latter eventually (they keep asking to see my alleged six-pack without caring that 1) I don’t want to go to jail and 2) My girlfriend probably wouldn’t be thrilled with me flashing my stomach off to high school girls), but for now just be patient. Courtney will be joining me tomorrow evening in Cleveland, and that always makes things more note worthy.

Until then… Take heart in the fact that you will most assuredly survive without constant updates from my mildly relevant life (see how I incorporated the title? MONEY!)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to send out my apologies for having absolutely no new content on the site yesterday. Long story short, I woke up at about 3:30am yesterday with a funny feeling in the stomach. For the next couple of hours I was yelling at my toilet until Courtney finally convinced me to go to the ER.

I’m ending the story there, because I will be making a post out of it for Monday. Stay tuned and happy weekend!

Sweet Jesus! Where did Mildly Relevant Thoughts, my most favoritest blog ever, go!?

No worries, I’m still here, injecting my mildly relevant thoughts (that’s the title!) for better or worse. I’ve been in the middle of a transfer from blogger over to wordpress and that took up a wee bit ‘o time. Alas! I am here and ready to start writing again for the masses.

The site is still undergoing some changes, so be patient. I’ll have a new banner at the top that I actually created and isn’t part of some random theme I found on WordPress.com. I’m also cooking up some ideas, so that the site isn’t simply my write. Let’s be honest, I get boring after a while.

Anyhow, worry no longer, friends, for I hath returned.
