Plop, Plop: A President Grows A Pair
Thursday I had questioned President Obama’s lack of vocal support for the protesting Iranians, hoping that soon enough the presidential testes would emerge from his body by speaking out in solidarity with the Iranian people. The President finally gave that speech, which realigned America with those practicing the rights we’ve embalmed in our very own constitution. He called on the Iranian government to respect the universal rights of the protesters, and to basically stop freaking killing people that disagree with them.
With a deeper voice (because the balls dropped), the President continued assuring the Iranian government that ideas that are suppressed don’t simply go away. Unless you’re the Chinese government, of course. In that case SUPPRESS AWAY! The rules are different if you supply the world with goods and buy debt that’s increasing faster than a man’s Washington Monument on Viagra. (Yep! It’s male genitalia jokes today!)
As the protests and Iranian government oppression continue, it’s important that the United States aligns itself with the people practicing the virtues we love to knock into the skulls of our school children. With that said, I have a quick message to the Ayatollah and the rest of the religious fundamentalists suppressing the freedom of speech and right to assembly of the Iranian people.
Ahem… (Throat cleared). HEY AYATOLLAH! Knock it off with the beating of the political opponents and the condemning of dissenting speech. It’s an Allah given right, stupid!
